Layout of the Program
The Listening Hands RPP Program is
divided into two 140-hour sections. Part 1 is held over the course
of 9 weekends. Part 2 is held for another 9 weekends subsequently.
At the completion of each Part 1 and Part 2 of the program, students
will receive a Certificate of Completion of the 140 hours of training
in that Section. When the student has completed both parts (280 hours)
and showed completion of 90 hours of Anatomy and Physiology, 20 hours
of Polarity Yoga, 30 hours of Business Practices and 20 hours of Polarity
Nutrition*, as well as documentation of 70 hours of practice sessions
and 10 of sessions received by an RPP, a diploma for completion of
the RPP Program will be presented.
*LHPP assists students in taking
these hours with local professionals. There are a number of great
teachers in our area who contract to teach Polarity Yoga, Business
Practices, Polarity Nutrition and Anatomy at LHPP. However the above
hours do not include these topics..

Chapel Hill
NC
and the Triangle Area
For those who may be
coming from a distance or relocating for the duration of the program,
we will be happy to assist in any way we can to connect you with
potential places to stay or live for a period of time. The Chapel
Hill-Carrboro area is known for its wonderful atmosphere. Called
"The Southern Part of Heaven", it is home to the University of North
Carolina and has long been acknowledged as a place of learning and
progressive thinking.
Though it still has
a small town feel, because of the three major Universities (in Raleigh,
Durham and Chapel Hill), there are
many cultural events. The Research Triangle Park hosts many high
tech and computer industries including IBM and Glaxo Pharmaceuticals.
The airport is less than 1/2 hour from the school's location. There
are many healing centers in the area. There is excellent vegetarian
food, both restaurants and markets. The weather is wonderful most
of the year. In fact, many students' favorite spot to put their
massage table is on the balcony! If this hasn't convinced you, we
are half-way between the mountains and the beach - about 2 1/2 hours
either direction!
